Marta Colmenero

The expression of material, function and structure…

In its ruggedness and lack of concern to look comfortable or easy, raw concrete as an architectural material became worldwide famous in the late 1950’s. Spanish designer Marta Colmenero has created a set of illustrations that capture the concrete forms of brutalist architecture across the globe. The series features some of the world's best-known brutalist buildings, from Moshe Safdie's Habitat 67 to Le Corbusier's Unité d'Habitation.

They were all designed for the insurance comparison site Go Compare for its Concrete Feats project.
